FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
April 8th, 2024. Calgary, Alberta - Measur, a leading Canadian unmanned technology provider, is excited to announce its official partnership with ScoutDI, a pioneer in drone-based systems for confined space inspections. As Canada's exclusive distributor, Measur will bring ScoutDI's cutting-edge drone system to the North American market, providing safe and efficient inspection solutions for challenging industrial environments.
The
Scout 137 Drone System represents a significant leap forward in confined space inspections. Engineered to operate in GPS-denied and hostile environments with limited ambient light, this cutting-edge system is designed for locations that are often inaccessible or hazardous to humans. From toxic atmospheres to tight spaces with risks of entrapment, the
Scout 137 Drone System offers a safe and efficient solution for comprehensive inspections and structural integrity assessments in oil & gas, power generation, port facilities, and more.
With a robust tether system providing continuous power and data transmission, the
Scout 137 Drone System eliminates the need for frequent battery changes and ensures uninterrupted inspections. By utilizing fully wired control and data connections instead of RF, the system mitigates the risk of data leakage or interception, enhancing security measures.
Moreover, the absence of RF connections eliminates the potential for electromagnetic interference, which could otherwise lead to a loss of control over the drone.
The Ground Station facilitates live streaming of inspections to the Scout Portal, a cloud-based data management service provided by ScoutDI. This is enabled through an Ethernet connector which allows connection to existing on-site internet if available. Users also have the option to tether the system to their smartphone's 4G/5G network via the included USB hub. This versatility ensures that inspection data can be efficiently streamed and managed, regardless of the internet infrastructure at the site. Furthermore, the Scout Portal has built-in SLAM technology, crucial for visualizing all ScoutDI payload data in a 3D point cloud format.
"We are proud to partner with ScoutDI to introduce the Scout 137 Drone System for Confined-Space Inspection to our customers across Canada," said Lukas Wilgosh, Vice President - Geospatial & Unmanned Technology at Measur. "The Scout 137 Drone System is unlike anything else on the market. It combines the best features of the industries leading technologies like high-accuracy LiDAR, UTM payloads, and ultra stable flights, with a tether solution for unlimited flight-time and stress-free inspections. A seamless integration between the drone and the Scout Portal, a cloud-based inspection data management platform, sets a new standard for indoor inspection technology."
"There's great potential for us in the North American market and we're looking forward to introduce the game-changing capabilities of the Scout 137 Drone System and the UTM Payload to Canada's oil and gas, utilities, construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure industries". - Adrian Hancox, Sales Director, ScoutDI.
