The Laser Falcon 2 is a next-generation methane detector developed by Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions. Leveraging the precision of Infrared Absorption Spectroscopy, this compact sensor is engineered exclusively for methane detection, eliminating false readings from other gases.
This makes it ideal for environmental monitoring, gas infrastructure inspection, and UAV-based surveys where methane-specific accuracy is critical.
Key Features
DJI M350 RTK Integration: Plug-and-play compatibility for quick deployment.
Methane-Only Detection: Immune to interference from other gases.
Infrared Absorption Spectroscopy: Proven and reliable gas detection method.
Laser Class 3R Eye-Safe: Meets safety requirements for UAV applications.
Real-Time Data Transmission: Methane levels are instantly relayed to the drone operator’s RC and UgCS software.
Lightweight and Portable: Compact 1 kg unit in a 210×210×150 mm transport box.
How It Works
A laser beam (wavelength: 1.65 μm) is emitted along a target path.
Reflected light is captured and analyzed against a built-in reference cell.
If methane is present, the laser signal is partially absorbed.
The system calculates gas concentration in ppm×m.
Data is transmitted in real-time to the drone’s control system.
